    I have ATT and am looking to send and receive international texts in Europe (Poland). I have ATT, so it's free for me to send and receive but I think it costs my Polish counterpart to send texts to me in the US.

    WhatsApp is working fine for us but don't know if the texts are free?

    Whatsapp is not texting in that it uses data. So if the person in Poland has access to data, it won't cost them any extra to use Whatsapp (aside from the purchase price of the app,) and it won't cost you extra either (other than the cost of data.)
