Given the close proximity of the keyboard to the bottom edge of the phone, what kind of cases would or could we expect? I would think that a flip cover would be the most logical.

Yeah, what's a BlackBerry without a case...and I say that sincerely. I love my cases, never damaged a BlackBerry unlike iPhone owners who are constantly smashing them.

A case saves a lot of pain!

Still waiting for that concept case (or was it a sleeve) that has a cut-out on the left side and shows notifications. The S3 case that has a cut-out on the front of the case to show the time would be great too.

I'd like some lip protection. A screen with this much area is just begging to shatter. I've dropped my naked Q10 many times on the screen with no issue, but I remember tons of Z30 drop stories that resulted in shattered screens. I assume the Passport will be just a bit more fragile.

I know I am in the minority here, but a top flip case.

I have a highly modified one for my z10 which shows the LED light, and I use the holster settings to shut down the screen and hang up.

Wowerz...my BlackBerry Z30 just took a wicked tumble...bumped my arm on the cabinet...boom...Z30 was airborne...good job it's in a case,because it landed face flat...people, you never know...protect the BlackBerry even with a thin case with a screen lip...phew!!!

Few thoughts.

First - Seideo Surface case w/kickstand & holster combined with Seideo Convert Combo w/holster - best multiple level of protection out there, and thru the 9900 had a matching dock that worked nekkid or case on! They made that case(s)/holster(s) combo set-up for the Z10 and the Q10 (I have both) but they sat out the z30 (PLEEEZ Seideo, send me at least a Z30 prototype from the store room?)

Second - this thing SCREAMS for a dock that works case on / case off.

Third - I'd like to see case options that have a "ridge" or "bump" just above the lower back up thru maybe just below center, positioned in a manner so a user can place their fingers below it to allow a more secure use of the new keyboard. Maybe the "kickstand" type cases can keep that use in mind, and create pop out kickstands that will also work as rear "finger rests" or "finger hooks". Seems proper positioning and shaping could create a nice place to rest the device along your fingers for a secure hold.

Has to be a side flip that works on a night stand while charging, hold my travel passport and some credit cards and ID. Then my laptop, backpack and wallet are garbage once and for all!
