It already seams to me charging will be different cause I don't have to do it every night. How do some of you that came from a z10 handle your charging. Do u just plug it in every night with 40% left?

I just put it on the charger overnight with about 50% left. Probably unnecessary but I'm worried that something I'll do the next day will require more than 50%...but it'll be interesting to see what others say

I plug it in before I sleep, so off the charger in the morning around 7am, on the charger at night around midnight. On a busy day it usually gets down to about 30% by midnight.

I have had the phone since launch day in Canada, and I have not noticed any negative impacts on the battery thus far.

plug in when it is below 20%. turn on beside mode before going to bed, it doesnt use much battery.

I think they had a blog post awhile back about when to charge battery. If I remember correctly, I think the conclusion was to plug in when you can.

Is it just me who is completely battery OCD? I can be heading down the pub and unlike normal people who just want enough battery to last the evening, I have to have it 90% or so, even though it's waaaay more than is necessary.

It's a dreadful affliction I can assure you.

Occasionally mine will decide to burn through the battery a a great rate for some unknown reason so I do like to stay pretty charged all the time

I was told a reboot can fix that some times. By brother has a z10 says if he notices his batter draining he reboots and it helps.

I charge only when my phone's battery is below 10%. I have that wicked kind of paranoia that it's not healthy to overcharge the battery. Then again, it's MY paranoia, not everyone else's. ))))))))))))))))) And after reading this thread I feel rather lonely.... )))

I charge my Z30 when it gets under 20%. Normally this is every three or four days. When this point in time has come I decide whether I can wait until I get home (this means it can then have 15 or even 12% or so) or I charge it right now because the day will still be long.

Charging my device lasts about four hours. I think it's not a good idea to charge it longer. So I never charge it over night.

I charge mine whenever I'm near a charger. I have a wall charger at work so it sits on charger most of the day streaming music.

I charge mine overnight as well.
I remember reading an article or a blog or something that basically said with the kinds of batteries that are in our phone now, it'll take about 4-6 years for them to start really not holding a charge very well. If I recall correctly, it actually said if you are worried about it, the best is to keep your phone between 40-80%, that is healthiest for the battery.
All I have to say to that is who cares? I'm sure very few people (especially us blackberry fans) won't have a phone for 4-6 years. Something better comes out every year and lots can't resist!

I'm with you. My phone is plugged in almost all of the time. Unplug it when I wake up, plug it in in the bathroom when I shower, plug it in at work as long as I'm at my desk...
