I am on call for multiple emergency lines and need to be reachable via at least 2 Canadian phone numbers at all times. Originally I thought Rogers One number would solve the problem by ringing both locally and my US cell # simultaneously. That, however has proved unreliable. It also cannot forward urgent texts.

To Rogers credit, at last a roaming option that is fair if not great.
If you have a share everything plan, you can get a plan that let's you use your phone as you would at home in the US (voice, text, data) for $5 a day. Best part is it has a $50 cap per month so if you are in the US beyond 10 days in a billing period, there is no additional charge.

Too bad Rogers only introduced this after I moved 8 of the ten cell phones I am the decision maker for to other providers.

even sadder... now in 2017 after finally offering a decent roaming option for $5 a day they are now starting to raise the daily charge. the first increase: a 20% jump to $6 per day. time to reactivate my pay as you go US phone from AT&T
