Well they're demoing it today (June 24th), so since it usually is leaked the day before, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw the file in the next few hours

MS will announce WP8.1 on 26.6. Why would one make a developer announcement two days before such a major MS event? It will bury the BB news instantly just 2 days later....

This is essentially basically like a normal leak except it's not complete

what do i mean by not complete?
It is missing BAR files for everyday use, so we can take BARs from an OS like .296 and sideload them in to make the OS complete.

Example: the 10.3.0.441 OS was a SDK that was stripped down so people needed bar files from .296

BlackBerry has never been good with timing. This summer would be the best time to release a new device and OS.

Instead they are releasing 10.3 just before iOS8 in the fall.
I wouldn't be surprised if Android's new OS (keylime or lollipop) is around then also.

Also, the next 2 devices is the prime time when multiple Android high end devices get released and the new iPhone.
Which is one of the reasons why Z30 isn't even known to 99.99% of the world. (along with tons of other reason obviously)

yes if you read my quote above. I explain what a SDK is

But it should be coming out within a day or so (that we know of/think)

NOTE: this is for developers so like I said above we will need to sideload 296 BARs into the OS to make it complete

Sdk is a stripped down os for developers to test there apps on to check for compatible and see if they need to make tweaks. It not for use on a phone as a os. It's useless to the end user as is. Some try and hack and patch it together with bars and radio files from other os to make it more complete. But remember it was never intended to be put on your phone and used as a full os for daily use.

The SDK is "Software Development Kit" - and is components developers need in order to make apps for the OS. So unless you are a developer, the SDK is not of much use for you

Often mentioned here on CrackBerry is "SDK OS" - which is something different. SDK OS, is the OS itself, a barebone version without all the apps that you would want to use the device on a daily basis - but enough for developers to Test the apps they make based on the SDK.

"gold" versions of the SDK and SDK OS, usually signals that the OS is now done betatested, feature-finished, and ready to deployed, unless big significant problems occur.
