Ever since update I have now noticed this. I am not able to send a Glympse while is a BBM chat through the HUB. I swear I could do it from the HUB before...

I'm 99% sure I could send a Glympse through the HUB prior to the last BBM update. Can anyone confirm?

Yes, you could send through The Hub previously. However, the problem was that Glympse would turn off if it was activated in the hub without the actual BBM app open.

To properly use Glympse, BBM app had to always be open. Otherwise, tracking would stop working.

By doing this, it stops people from complaining that Glympse was broken.

This kinda pisses me off though. BlackBerry can't integrate it's own apps feature into it own HUB! Really?

I love BlackBerry but they need to get their sh!t together.

very weird how it works after the update. it seems silly you need to have bbm open now as opposed to before. I hope they fix this in the next update.

This wasn't the case for me, as the recipient in my Glympse would always receive and could track my progress when triggered from the hub, and with bbm closed.

I'm not liking this new process...

Is this new requirement related to the fact that Glympse used to crash all the time? I would say that about 1/3 of the time that I would use it (I have a Z10) it would hang and I would have to restart my phone (even restarting just the hub wouldn't fix it). If it fixes the crashing issues then I guess it's an improvement in that respect, but I agree that it's ridiculous that Blackberry can't get it working the way it used to work (i.e. from the hub) but without the crashes.

Did you leave Glympse open while using the hub? Because as soon as you exited Glympse in the hub the tracking would stop.

Just bumping this thread to say that I was hoping that this behaviour was fixed in 10.3 (I just got a passport), but apparently not. You want to use Glympse when BBM'ing in the hub, it has to open the separate BBM app. Not the end of the world, but a pain in the neck for sure.

Fingers crossed for 10.3.1!
