Hope to god I can buy this phone directly from BlackBerry at launch. As oppose to having to buy it from a carrier and unlocking it and risk losing warranty.

why did Tmobile & Blackberry have to argue and stop being buddies. I want the Passport but I don't know how I can get it on Tmobile. I know the Canadian carrier 'Wind' has the same network but I want to go in the store and get it.

I feel ya, Att contract system is ridiculous. I am paying 160 a month for 3 lines. 1 basic and 2 smartphones with 3gb data plan. 1000 minutes. If they allowed rollover of unused data I might have less beef with them.

BlackBerry Reps if you are reading this, please convince the marketing team to place the Passport and Classic in Shop blackberry the same day that the devices are launched.

I will gladly pay BlackBerry unsubsidized prices to get phone I want without dealing with carrier BS.

I noticed now this is for the Passport. But initially I thought it was an announcement that BlackBerry changed there storefront to, or there processing through Amazon, and dumped who they use now. That will be the day.

Verizon (and maybe Sprint). This phone might not have a good GSM version for US LTE network. Just like the z30.

There will be a pre-order of the phone from some specifics vendors. But I am sure you can expect to pay 600� (about 950$) at launch if you want this phone at launch and unlocked.

They already have partnered with Amazon for the Apps.. they should extend the agreement to use one of the biggest online resellers in the world.. and have BlackBerry distributed by Amazon (at least in USA where carriers most likely will not consider to promote the phone)
