    depends on how much stuff you have on the card and how big the card it. i have a 32 gig and it usually take a min or two to populate

    I have 16 GB card and it takes 1-2 minutes to update

    My Z10 doesn't see my SD card, it keeps telling me SD card not mounted. It works in my old 9320

    Security, Security, Security.... BlackBerry has you phone forget everything it knows about what files are on the device. That way no one can access some cached information. We you reboot a BlackBerry your really reboot it.


    But yeah there should have been an option that allowed for caching and quick startup. Those that need the security could enable it in settings or via BES Policies. To make everyone go through a five minute reboot and recataloging.... was not a good idea.
