Ping is slow, but... 11-14 Mbps down, 5-12 Mbps up after four consecutive tests with speakeasy.net/speedtest.

I did this in the SF East Bay. I don't have one saved, but Marin County tends to have the best T-Mobile download speed.

What should we be expecting? And who delivers that speed consistently everywhere?

A single sampling in a moment of time--which each individual's screenshot is--does not speak to consistency. 6.6mbps is hardly anything to brag about, 15-20 should be average, 35.36 is very good. And to answer your second question: Verizon.

The max speed potential and the fact that I get great coverage in most parts of where I live is great; and especially that the cost of service is way cheaper than the competition and that it doesn't tack on unnecessary charges.

now that they have come out & said speed apps won't be throttled or count against your data, knowing for a fact they have this ability now, who is to say speed apps don't actually get their "own lane" so to speak, to make the network appear fast most times?

Good point vis a vis net neutrality. Essentially, very similar to some of the concerns with the free music streaming apps.

    exactly.

it was also good to see that reporter ask the obvious question...that video is way more popular/used more than music, so essentially, why music?

    You should start another thread.

If the mod doesn't mind, put a link to the new thread here and I can probably help.

Audio streaming isn't as bandwidth intensive as video, so T-mobile can "afford" to provide this service for audio.

yep, was more of a rhetorical question. they will also have another marketing notch in their belt to tout how much data users use compared to other carriers, if this adaption is great.

What this also means is that if you have one of those limited data plans (postpaid only?) and are over the limit for the month, they'll bump your speed up temporarily for a speed test, but drop you back down when it's done. I found that pretty interesting.

I wonder if the Z30 beat the Z10 on really good LTE since the Z30 has more a powerful CPU, plus the antenna tuner couldn't hurt.
