Over at BerryFlow, they posted the following specs:

    Quad-Core
    8GB RAM
(it follows that the CPU a 64-bit ARM chip has to be)
    5 inch Full Touch
    3300MA Battery
OS10.3.1 *likely to receive latter OS update*
    OpenGL 3?

Along with the following road map:

I don't know about the 8 gigs as that seems a bit of overkill.

Just a silly question, but is 3300MaH big enough for such a powerful phone? I really have no idea.

    That looks wicked!
That 8GB definitely looks like an overkill, I'd say the maximum they would be going to is 3-4 GB. Hope it does have atleast 32 GB storage tho!

Interesting to see that road map. It has always been speculated that the Windermere would drop along with 10.3 in july/aug/sept and that the Classic would debut along with 10.3.1 in oct/nov/dec

Grain of salt for me though

Or maybe all this is complete BS. :P

Even though BB10 is memory hungry no way a phone comes with 8GB to accommodate 64 bit.

Ya 8GB kinda ridiculous. But if they are planning on making a multitasking, split screen running, dual booting, future proof, 64 bit beast of a phone then 8GB is perfect. Bring it

8GB isn't overkill if it's meant for a desktop replacement.

So after J Chen casually mentions maybe they might go phablet at some point, suddenly they will have one ready in December?
And suddenly 10.3 is for existing devices and 10.3.1 for the new flagships?

Seems like this is based on speculation and/or misunderstandings. Why would they want to replace the Z30 so soon?

If you look at the article, this roadmap is from Feb. 2014. Nothing "just" happened.

So soon? If they want to keep up in the market, a year isn't too soon. The Z30 was released last October/November. To launch a new flagship in December is a bit late, but still great.

I know, my point was I do not believe that roadmap is accurate (anymore). Maybe it was in February, but to believe they will really launch 2 new flagships this year without any official hint at them so far sounds strange to me.

Maybe we will see a Manitoba at one point, but I would say next year is more likely. Get people to splurge on the classic first, get the Windermere into the hands of whoever that is meant for.
Then when BlackBerry regulars start realising BB10 works great even without physical keys and when other users start seeing more BB10 on the streets , market a phablet with great specs and watch them all buy that as a second device.

If they all come out at the same time, BlackBerry regulars will (have to) choose, and will most likely go for the Classic. And other users will just shrug it off because BB10 still does not have a good market footprint.

And I know how often the competition refreshes their line-up, but I am actually one of those persons who believe that is a waste of resources (ecological and economical). I do not see the benefits of a 10% better device every year over a 20-30% better device every two years.
As long as the core OS is reliable enough.
The way the current tech market is saturated with releases, I am surprised no one is outraged yet that they cannot upgrade every other week.

Well, keeping in mind that the Z3 is for a limited market and the Q20 is most likely aimed at corporate BES deployments, releasing a High End QWERTY and High End touch after 1+ years is not that outrageous. Especially since the first phones were moderately specced, which apparently matters to many people.

Might be overkill for QNX but there are customers who buy based on specs alone, so who knows.

The 8 GB is a must to properly manage the functions of the on board Flux Capicitor .

It look like BlackBerry is preparing a contender for the Super Flagship battle. That would garner some amazing buzz.
