    Hi,

I recently took everything off my Media card and my onboard memory for a refresh of the phone. I did a security wipe, then formatted my media card, and installed a new software update. Now, as before, the phone has run out of on board memory and will not let me open most apps. Upon opening the Music app, it says that the App can't run because your built-in media storage is full.

It won't even let me check on my Device Storage Details. When I last clicked on it, system took up 12.4 GB out of 16, and god knows what else took up the rest.

As it sits now, I cannot open any apps, and my BlackBerry Hub is not loading.

    Any suggestions?

From where did you get the OS update you installed? What version is it?

When did this start? With your prior OS? Do you recall what version that was too?

This OS was installed as a software update through the Software Update on the phone itself.

    10.2.1.2941 is the current software.

Don't recall the old one, but it was happening with the old OS as well. Started about two weeks ago, but I attributed it to all the files on both the onboard memory and the media card. Once I reformatted the thing, I didn't expect to have the same problem.

I can now open the Storage info as well as some apps and the Hub - 12MB system, 1MB user files, 637 MB apps, and 290ish MB free.

Try clearing caches on some apps, such as CB10.

Apps like that tend to hold a huge amount of data, as I found three nights ago that CB10 took up 3GB in my device, and 9Gag took up 1.5GB.

    Gotta clear that cache.

Don't have the CB app, and not very many apps I use all that often... no 9gag or similar. I'll try to clear the reddit app and such but I can't see them taking up so much damn memory.

Now I can't put my email account on, music player won't open, etc. This is getting ridiculous.

Reloading the software is always a great last resort.
