I recently tried downgrading from 10.2.1.3175 to Verizon's official 10.2.1 release. I used the method of changing the OS in the manifest. But when I tried to restore, it said the data was incompatible. I tried again and went thru the steps a second time using 7 Zip. What I noticed when the file was being opened in order to change the OS in manifest, was that the apps were backed up individually and other files appear to be in 3175. I am wondering if this prohibits you from restoring to a downgraded OS.

I have only restored to a lower version once in my adventures with leaks and I used DarcyTallGuy's tools to change the OS on the back up file. It worked fine.

When you're changing info in the manifest file, you close out when done. Not save. You will be prompted if you want the zip updated. You say yes. Should be good.
