ok, Ive been combing through the forums for days now, and I'm still having problems running my apks/android apps
on my Z30.

I used BBLink to switch devices from Z10 to Z30
I uploaded the sys files on top of that (which were the only files available at the time, no .442 bars yet)
still had problems

I wiped it and started over and then loaded the .442 bars on top and the sys file that helps you change the email tone
I changed my email tone
then loaded the other file on top of that.
I started downloading apps from Snap and BBW
then I restored the backup from when I switched devices

then I tried only restoring some of the back up,
still no luck

I just need some help.

Can someone assist me and provide the correct links of the files and whatnot?
I have tried using DarcyTools and Sachesi with no avail. Either it wont connect or stops working.

Ive been a blackberry user and leaker for years on Mac and PC,
Ive never had this much trouble or spent this much time on a leak/update since blackberry desktop

an order of how I should go about loading what, when would be very helpful as well!

you need the 442 android bar files theres only 2 of them i had the same problem with the apps not opening you can use sachei to transfer those 2 files over to the phone

i have a z10 but im sure its pretty much the same however i did install the sdk from bberry itself its just the core system not many apps. after installing the sdk i restored with bblink. afterwards i extracted the bar files from the 296 leak using sachesi and put them in the phone you will get one error with one file cant remember the name of it right now .after that i saw that some android apps wouldnt open so i extracted the bar files from the sdk and used sachesi to move over the 2 android files from the sdk.

So I have been able to connect to Sachesi finally and its going a little easier to extract the BARs and sideload them on

Restore again?

did you sidlead the 296 bars ? any errors ? after sideoading these you need to sideload the 2 android bar files form the 442 sdk, you shoudlve restored after installing your leak before sideloading bars

I had used a Z30 autoloader

sideload 2 android bars and 422 sys bar from sdk

Try all that, without the restore. Load the apps, try it again. If that works, it's the restore. If you restore after and it breaks it again, then restore selectively and find the problem

Which OS did you load the one from here or the sdk from blackberry I had problems with the one from the forum till I loaded the sdk

@almoon I used the z30. 296/441 autoloader from the forums.

I deleted them off my computer, restarted, downloaded, unzipped on my computer


I'm just getting tired of wiping ny phone and downloading all the apps over and over just for them not to work... there are some apks that I *HAVE* and need to use almost everyday.
And who has the time?! I don't!
It's just now im hooked on 10.3!!!
So downgrading isnt really an option at this point

Like I said try the sdk from blackberry it's not a core OS so you need other bar files from the leaks

Okay, good job. Just remember when you restore from a backup to different hardware (Z10 to Z30) you run the risk of issues.
You may have an incompatible app, or a small difference in code that is causing issues.
Try loading up the Z30, NO RESTORE.
Run the same stuff that's causing issues.
If there's no issues, you're golden.
Check out all your apps on the different stores for each phone. Some may not be available for one or the other. I've read threads where someone had a Z10 and was disappointed when they upgraded to a Z30 and an app for that one wasn't available...
My personal experience with restores has been good generally. Every once in a while a restore just won't work 100% until waiting for the next small update from a developer of a single app. It happens. Good Luck.
Just so you know, it's usually best to load up all your apps after loading an os BEFORE you restore.

Revert to 10.2.1.2941 and you won't have to suffer ... as all leaks early adopters (I am) occasionally have to ? I mean, do you have a particular reason to sport the 10.3 as your daily driver ? After 2 weeks, I reverted back. I'm now a much happier camper.

I would NEVER recommend restoring a backup from before a major update...ie: 10.2.1 to 10.3...I'm running 10.3.0.296/442 with almost no issues. in 3 weeks only had to hard reset once(Edit: twice now...June 10th). Only bugs are every few days the screen will jump a bit for a split second or I'll have to restart Words With Friends after an advertisement (had to in 10.2.1 also)...it's my daily driver and only phone...no landline either...

i restored from a previous backup to 10.3 and all is fine
