I recently updated my Z10 to. 3175. It is a Rogers device unlocked and I am using it on Koodo.

Prior to this update, WiFi signals were great, battery was terrible. Now, I can't comment on battery yet but WiFi keeps randomly disconnecting.

    Any ideas?

Have you tried a reboot? Which model of Z10 is this? A power cycle reboot might help. I find this OS to be solid on wifi and cellular connectivity.

Yeah, I read that as well. It is the STL100-3.

I have rebooted and had also powered down and left the battery out for some time.

The phone also feels slower though I could be imagining that or it could just be settling in.

Cellular reception seems a little worse.

Will there be a Telus specific radio as I updated with Rogers firmware?

Same model Z10 here running the rogers release, but I have no wifi issues.

Doesn't solve your problem but should help to narrow down the culprit

If this is just on your home router... lemme ask... are you running an anti-spyware program (like Spyhunter) that will mess with your DNS?

On multiple Wi-Fi networks. Haven't actually tried mine yet. But on the same one that I had been using prior to update.

Gtsfreak, all you have to do to get rid of the random shutdowns and restarts is to do a security wipe. Goodluck.

Finally, getting around to doing the security wipe. Can I restore my backup afterwards or will this cause problems? I'll try it and if not I'll wipe again I guess. The wipe takes so long eh?

    You should be right restoring.

The new BlackBerry Link offers selective backup and restore, maybe leave a few unnecessary apps off.

Interesting, i'm experiencing the exact same thing just now...before, all i had to do was turn the wifi off and on again and it would connect...now i have to turn off the data connection and it comes back on. Odd indeed.... there was a much bigger thread regarding this problem to which some said security wipes did nothing...not sure why they decided to close it. maybe because nobody found a viable solution is my guess.

And here I thought you were all smoking something (I kid). This just happened to all our Z10s this afternoon. We have 3, 2 Red LE devices on T-Mobile and 1 on AT&T.

We've been on this build for several weeks though, I don't see why the issue would just crop now...

Another UK user with the same problem. Switch Data off - wifi works. Switch it back on - wifi symbol disappears, limited connectivity etc are BB servers having an issue again?

Yeah. Looks like several people are having the same wifi problem at the same time. I don't want to do a security wipe and go through the headache of backing up and restoring just for wifi at home. I'll wait it out, I guess.
