Hey Everyone,

Has anyone had a chance to use TD Canada Trust's new mobile (NATIVE BlackBerry 10) app NFC payment?
According to this:

Looks like you can BUT...when I go to my Z10's native BB10 TD app...there is no such "TD Mobile Payment" option to be found. This is what I've been waiting for. I know CIBC, Tim Hortons has NFC payment options as well but my bank is obviously TD.

Hopefully someone here in CB can point me to what I may be doing wrong.

So what am I doing wrong...do I need a special NFC enabling new micro SIM?

Ahh... that's why. I still have my trusty old 9900 but not enough to use specifically for a TD app. I'll continue to wait until they add BlackBerry 10 devices.

I can't find the native bb10 TD app. Says unavailable for my z10. Currently using the android app via Snap. Any help from previous posters as to how they have installed this app in the first place?

Not sure where you are but using a Telus Z10 with a Telus sim here in Vancouver and going to BlackBerry World and type in TD bank it's there.

Android app definitely has the option. It doesn't seem to work for me though. Note I don't have an NFC enabled sim and haven't looked into this any further so I can't say for sure it doesn't work.

I've been able to run BlackBerry OS 7 apps on my BlackBerry 10 in the past. I doubt the NFC code string would be too different from OS7 to OS10. Perhaps the BB9900 version of the TD app could be side loaded onto BlackBerry 10, if someone could provide us with the bar file.

Well...looks like RBC beat TD for NFC Payments unfortunately for now, only Bell and Virgin Mobile but at least the Z10 and Z30 (10.1.0.4181 or higher) for now. I'm also an RBC client but my Z30s are with Telus.

In Canada at least with Bell Mobility + RBC bank.
You need to buy an NFC sim card. Then activate the NFC option on your bb10 phone. That is the only way it will work as the Canadian banks wanted an added security features for NFC payment that can only be found on the NFC sim card at a carrier store.

If you go on the Bell website they will confirm what I just wrote

So basically update to the newest banking app of your choice.
Install a new NFC sim card from your carrier
And the option for NFC payment will appear.
