Just noticed right now that my phone just randomly reset by it self while it was just sitting on stand by.

    Running 10.2.1.202
    Z10, STL 100-3

Any ever had this happen to them?

Spoken like a true Apple Droid... sounds like your battery may be loose. Shim it with a piece of business card.

Could be a lot of things really, but start with the battery shimming. If it's. It working, I would suggest a security wipe, or an autoloader reinstallation.

By the way, did you mean 10.2.1.2102 for your OS version?

I still have no solution for my random reboots. Shimming makes no difference. A new battery worked for a while, but back to square one.

I still have no solution for my random reboots. Shimming makes no difference. A new battery worked for a while, but back to square one.

This was a big problem on early OS builds, pretty much disappeared with the 10.1MR releases in late summer 2013, and started seeing some people complain about it again in later 10.2.0 and 10.2.1 releases. (Though far, far fewer than the earlier OS builds)

I installed 10.2.1.2102 (OS version 10.2.1.2141) on a friend's Q10 when she first got it and she had random reboots. Then put 10.2.1.2228 on it, still has the problem.

Most disturbingly, she has virtually no apps on that phone and doesn't use data either.

So she might have one of the ones with a hardware issue.

Might be a battery defect. You might wanna take it back and get a replacement.

Ehmm some Android apps can cause the reboot... delete all Android apps and see if it still reboot.

I have a couple of android apps that I've had for a while before the random reboot. Im pretty sure the android apps are not the cause.

I get the occasional reboot with my Z10 but it's rare and random, could happen any time any where. Doesn't matter on the OS version.

I kind of feel at home now the phone does it as I kind of got used to it with my Windows Laptop

My Z10 battery is pretty secure so I know it's not that, half tempted to just blag a replacement from my carrier reseller and see if it does it with a new one but I could end up with one that does it all the time then lol

Used to happen when I first got my Z10. Had not happened since doing one of the OS updates.

I have a q10 and had the same problem. It is a matter of little battery moving, so that the electrical contact is lost for a second (but enough to turn off and reboot the phone instantly) . I suggest you to put a little piece of paper, or plastic (or anything else) of proper thickness between the battery and the phone in order to ensure the permanent contact of the electrical cells (to press the cells against the phone's ones) . The best material of ideal thickness is a piece of an old simcard or credit card.
Once adopted this solution the problem disappeard.

By the way, I have the phone full of android apps, this is not the problem. For sure
