    1st April - CrackBerry Announced PlayBook OS support ends today.

    10th April - Petition launched on Change.Org for continued PlayBook Support addressed to John Chen.

    14th April - 500 signatures milestone reached.

    15th April BlackBerry Public Relations contacted verbally and by email. This channel has since closed as the PR contact has left the company.

    22nd April - Campaign Website Savetheplaybook.com live.

    7th May BlackBerry Investor Relations contacted by Email.

    15th May 800 signatures milestone reached.

    20th May @blackberryhelp contacted on Twitter by @SavethePlayBook asking for contact channels and communication from BlackBerry.

    During this time @blackberry @CrackBerry tweeted with petition updates without reply, support or acknowledgement.

    1 petition retweet from @bbryflow

    The team working on this campaign are trying their best and thanks to all the efforts from the whole community. Any suggestions for BlackBerry contact channels welcome from the PlayBook community?

    Let's save the support for the PlayBook. We deserve it as loyal BlackBerry customers.

    The time is better spent improving BlackBerry 10 and releasing a tablet later on. The PlayBook hardware is obsolete at this point and a hassle to continue maintaining development support.

    Fine, but we are only asking for Security, Maintenance and Android Runtime update. Do you not think that's reasonable until a new Device comes along? Doesn't it make sense for a company to keep (what have been) loyal customers happy and stop them from walking away from the brand altogether?

    Agreed. All hardware must die sometime people. I rather see BlackBerry update BB10 to make it the ultimate mobile OS than waste time on a product that is not going to drive cash in.

    And I still use my PlayBook.

    Should get security updates and some maintenance updates because those are needed for institutional customers but probably forget about the rapidly changing Droid.
