Hi everyone, I've had my Z30 for a while now, and have noticed that occasionally when I receive call, I don't see the callers contact name or photo (if it's someone in my address book) ... just the number ringing... as soon as it stops ringing then it will display the contact name and photo... not always, most times it works perfectly...

    Anyone else strike this issue?

    Cheers,
    Richard

This happens to me as well. Not always, but occasionally. Generally when Im off network and in a non-data coverage area but has also occurred while in a good signal area. I always have some beta OS on my phone so didnt put alot of thought to it. Id be curious to hear what others have to say. Its occurred on my Z10 as well as my current Z30.

I have the same problem. The caller ID is inconsistent.

Its generally attributed to a poor network connection. It happened this AM as someone called me when my signal was bad. When I checked later it did in fact show the contact in the call list. No one has found a fix per se, unfortunately. Minor issue IMO.

I mentioned this issue in another thread, I thought it was just another contact issue... as I read above, let's hope it will be fixed in the upcoming 10.3, fingers crossed!!!

This makes sense. It only happened twice and both times signal was week.

Right, that has been pointed out here. We've identified it as an issue with poor data network areas. Most of us are on an unreleased os, so its one of the downsides to having the newer features.

I don't think it's due to poor data network, I just received a call from my supervisor right now and it didn't show the name in the screen while ringing and I am in the office, my signal indicator is full... it gotta be something regarding the contacts, I'm almost sure.
