So the BIG QUESTION is what is best bet here: 1) .296 leak alone (STL 100-2,3,4 have a radio here) 2) .296 with SDK radio? 3) .296 leak with SDK radio and updated bar files 4) SDK alone? 5) SDK with missing bar files pulled from .296?

I of course understand different folks use their devices differently. For me, I need to be able to load and use a very early escreen bar, have a solid HUB experience, decent Music app, excellent camera app and fast/stable android RT.

From the 200+ pages in the 5 or so 10.3 threads, It seems that the SDK with missing apps and the Camera Bar file from .296 is my best bet (Apparently the SDK has no panorama). Fast, stable almost everything working except device monitor (which is very low on my priority list).

Rather than post this in each of the 5 plus 10.3 threads, I thought I might bring it out here for others who are trying to decide similarly.

I'm hoping some of the more talented here will have us a usable HYBRID soon Based on the SDK with the missing bar files for .296 and then with the .441 radio thrown in for good measure.


What I don't understand is why it's OK to 10.3.0.296 music app is great thread, but heaven forbid someone do a Findings and Fixes thread anymore....

I need all communication aspects of my phone to work (phone, emails, texts, bbm, etc..) as I use this for business. If anyone who has done this can weigh in, that would be great.

Also, if that IS in fact the best option, a small tutorial of which bar files to load would be great too!

Sideload bar files like always (I use DDPB) others use Sachesi. Once each bar has been added to the OS, one must check for stability and function. To do it properly can take some time. Of course, the best way is if there is a generally agreed upon list of working Bar files, they can be swapped out prior to running the SDK auto-loader. And you have a really excellent auto-loader.

Did you try a manual install of device manager? Did you try installing the new file to your PC to get Link to work. I think the two are somehow linked.

Just because it is not shown on the SDK - does not mean it is not planned on release for the full Gold OS. In fact, I'm pretty certain you will see all these things when the full OS releases.

Hence why it's called SDK. it's a crippled OS, meant for developers alone, and not for end users.

I have .296 installed and sideloaded SDK bars. I have sideloaded the camera bar and confirm there is panorama. I think the browser bar has been updated too. Tried updating with the remember bar and that crashed on load.

So - When exactly do you think the official is coming to say Verizon. May, June, July, ....January? Part of being a very busy professional is my need to constantly work on productivity (both business and professional). Smartphones can be very helpful in that regard. They can also be used to spend hours browsing youtube videos of cats and puppies, and playing Angry Birds. For me personally, if their are native features to my smartphone that will generally assist me in increasing the productivity of what I do, then I am going to pursue those enhancements with appropriate vigor, as my associates, partners and clients expect me to.

I certainly hope this was a reasonable explanation for you. I understand how important it is to you that although you do not know anything about me, that my on-line actions be fully justified to you. OR- you could just try raising your head from your netheryea.

Check out Darcy's tool and thread on creating same. Almost just as easy at this point to load the SDK and bulk side-load the bars.

Don't get me wrong folks, it seems I'm stepping on the usual touchy feely feet.
I was a regular of hybrids, leaks etc prior to the OS10 release and chased them regularly, but for me OS 10 handles my professional needs as is (in case you're wondering I'm in supply chain in oil and gas industry, you can imagine the demands) and in MY opinion, to run a leak that isn't stable enough / missing features that would dictate it less of a daily driver isn't worth it.
Then there's the point of remove this, add that just to get it to work? Cest La Vie it seems , perhaps if you remove your head and understand that there will always be a flip side to a coin (perhaps another opinion) things will transition smoother in life.
