This question came to mind with all of the 10.3 buzz going around, anyone know if T-Mo will keep updating our phones? I really really like my Q10, and I'm happy with the service, but I want to keep it up to date.

Probably not officially. But you can load updates through Sachesi.

This is my concern as well. Would we lose Wi-Fi calling again, etc.?

They said they'll continue to do updates for BlackBerry, hopefully on time.

Even if they stop support the wifi calling seems to be a standard feature in the latest leaks. Even in the latest 10.3 leak the wifi calling is there.

So... are you saying in 10.3 wifi-calling actually works? Thanks

The only thing T-Mobile stopped doing is SELLING PHONES. They'll keep upgrading the software and you'll always be able to call T-Mobile and ask for BlackBerry specialists, but buy your phones ELSEWHERE then use the T-Mobile network.

I honestly don't know. I'm not on T-Mobile , but I saw someone post in the 10.3 leak thread that wifi calling was there.

We really don't know the cause of the 10.2 roll out delay regarding wifi calling. That is, was it a T-mob issue or a BlackBerry issue? Or both. If wifi calling is baked into the OS and T-mob uses an API, you really can't tell who is at fault.

If wifi calling is really an issue, it would be prudent to set up a SIP app. Getting SIP to work on a very basic level is trivial. The free Adore soft phone does the trick. Setting up SIP in a secure manner is more of a research project. Taki had all the hooks for proxies, etc.

I don't think staying at 10.2 would be a good plan just to keep wifi calling, if it comes down to that.

    Check this out: http://forums.crackberry.com/showthread.php?t=930948

Note that this thread above was started AFTER mrfreeze's post, so is this independent confirmation of WFC working on 10.3?

Thanks. I know I saw it somewhere else too, but that seems promising.

Thanks for the replies, I hope the continued support gets updates out in a timely manner. I don't know what I'll do when my Q10 becomes obsolete, I really don't want to leave T-mobile.

Obsolete? Well, that definition may be up to you. In my business I seen many, many people still using legacy BBerry phones.
