Good evening,

I am from the United States. In a few days, I will be leaving for a two week visit to China. I would like to know if BBM will work internationally. I was hoping to be able to communicate with my family through BBM video. I am with Verizon and I know that I can cut off my mobile signal, so will any charges occur by using only wifi internationally?

Any help is appreciated.

No charges if you are on Wi-Fi.

I used the voice feature between a Z10 and an iPhone with a friend in China a few months back and it sounded better than a cell call here in the states..

Yes, no charge if network is shut off. I used BBM while in the Dominican Republic in March. Worked like a charm. No surprises on my phone bill.

Don't worry it will work perfectly, was in HK Last week and plenty of BBM wifi video calls with the family without a glitch.

Not sure about China, but you can easily find Sim cards in HongKong for a short duration from the local service providers.
