Yea, definitely. Ive been running the android port, but would rather prefer native app

Very interesting that they are going from never supporting BlackBerry 10 at all, to supporting it and killing-off support entirely for legacy BBOS devices.

This would probably be the very first major US bank that will have a native BB10 app. I hope the others follow suit.

Also interesting that the legacy app shows as having been updated April 24th, but this is the one that is supposedly discontinued. BB10 app still not showing.

I don't think it's fake.... it is a subtle end-of-life announcement for the BB7 app, because they're probably changing something on the back end that will render it inoperable.

So this is an EOL announcement just as much as a BB10 app announcement.

This is a big step for BB10. With BofA out there, you could easily see 2-3 more of the big ones going there, too.

It may not be a native BB10 app. But even if it is their android app, just listing it in BBWorld is a big deal for a large US bank. Somebody in BB dev relations made a win here.

The highly-anticipated and dishonestly ballyhooed Bank of Montreal app is just a lame repackaging of their mobile Web site that can't even do cheque deposit by photograph after being released a year after their competitors. I'm anxious to hear more about the BoA app from actual customers: I believe banking apps are vital to a platforms success (big name games are great but are after all just fads... banking apps are used for years). "Compatible" sure sounds like an Android port to cynical ol' me.

Fingers crossed that it's a decent native app that is actually useful to BoA customers that use BlackBerry devices.

The BMO app is an HTML5 based app that creates the same experience for any OS you run. The mobile website on the PlayBook operates the same way as the BB10, Android, or iOS apps. When the app is updated, every device gets the update. This is a good thing! Another nod to BBRY for focusing on HTML5.

Interestingly, several recent reviews of the app in BlackBerry World were bitter about the fact that B of A was abandoning it.

I believe this is a fake as well--most likely malware. I'm using the BofA 4.4.21 Android app and it works perfectly. Give it a try from Snap or one of the other download programs.
