Dear users,

I set up a group of contacts. Entering this group, when composing email, works well - an email address of each contact is entered. But it is an undetermined process. Which email address is used, when the contact has multiple of them? How can I set a primary email address / phone number for a contact? So far, I have to check the email address for each contact by clicking on it.

I see that no one has chimed in as yet, so I'll tell you how I've handled it. It may be a bit tedious, but it works.

1. Create an empty group, name it as you will.
2. Open the group, tap Edit at the bottom of the page.
3. Tap Add Contacts. Select a contact., then tap Done at top right.
4. Long press on the Contact's name. On the menu that pops out from the right, tap "Select ways to contact". You can then choose which email address to use for that group list. Tap done at top right. (You can select more than one email address; messages will be sent to all selected email addresses for that contact.)
5. Repeat for the other contacts.
6. Tap Save for the Group.

That's it. As I said, a bit tedious, but only to get it set up. Hope this helps.

Also, when you compose to group, in the new open email, tap the name and select address you want.

As mentioned, tedious the first time but I've had no issues with the groups I've set up. I use mainly text groups and they set up the same way.
