I'm afraid I am close to giving up this BlackBerry experiment. Can't support office 2013 effectively without work around. My spouses email exploded and has spent two days rebuilding it. Tech support scrubbed her link so she lost everything. We can't afford the ti.e away from productive tasks
It's very frustrating. Won't do Google phones. Windows at least is relatively seamless with office.

Here's an idea, why not drop by the appropriate forums on this? After all people at the windows phone boards will know better.

Just had a discussion with a colleague yesterday who is leaving his Lumia because the promised convenience was not all there. He said Windows Phone is "not there yet" and the coming OS upgrade looks a lot like android 2 yrs ago. His main points of emphasis are paperless notes / integration with One Note and One Drive and CRM integration with ZOHO .

Former BlackBerry user but he always has to have what looks the coolest. He has never used BlackBerry 10.

My main point here is to thoroughly look at your options after your frustration has subsided. Clearly identify what you can and cannot live with and eliminate those which are deal breakers. At that point, it may come down to what fits most of your required criteria. The PERFECT Smartphone has yet to be made for most of us.

I have a Z10 for my personal phone but my work phone is a Lumia 1020 and it's an awesome phone. If I had to leave my Z10 and get a widows phone it would definitely be the 1020. Great battery life, great camera and the screen is a good size, not too big not too small.

I would have to go with Lumia 1520. I like the big screen on it. But I don't see myself ever getting another windows phone. I would get an Android if I didn't have Blackberry

Please Chen if your listening how about support for office 2013. My choice is upgrade the phone or downgrade my business software. Really! A business phone! Just give me synching two way with Microsoft Office. Don't need netflix or other apps. Need email and contact synching. If the release the icon with 8.1 I think that will be my move. Yeas frustrating and venting! Two lost days, trying to rebuild.

I'd probably just buy a camera cheaper and better. Otherwise I'd go for Lumia 630 since I heard you get a lot from the cheaper models. Given I'd have to choose any phone other than BlackBerry I'd be Jolla

There has been no mention regarding the upcoming 8.1 update that fixes the biggest problem on WP8 - attachments to emails. You can attach pictures but no PDFs or Office docs. Windows Mobile did this better than any mobile OS ever but was inexplicably left out when they went to Windows Phone 7/8. If this is something you rely on, as I do, you'll be surely enraged.

I have been looking at the Nokia Icon as a tablet replacement. I have decided to get rid of the Nexus 7. Google or ATT, not sure which removed the ability for the Nexus 7 to be a hot spot. Total BS.

So, I will wait for the Icon for ATT and 8.1before I make my final judgement. I have to say, it would have been really convenient of the z10 camera were better while I was on vacation this week. I had to use a real camera or my HTC One to get by. But then having to share photos was a pain.

Come on BlackBerry upgrade the z10 to a z10+ and fix all of the original shortcomings already!

My company went WP route so I ended with Lumia 925. Lots of pros and cons. I've installed WP8.1 preview which shortened battery life for good 30-40%.
I'm carrying it few days then I jump to Z10 for a few days... HUB is addictive. On other hand, new features (new for WP) which arrived with 8.1 pushed WP in right direction.
Anyway, if I have to spit my own money I still wouldn't buy WP. I would consider IOS or Android - much more features per $.

If we are mainly looking at integration with office 2013? I guess ios and android are well supported and I integrated. Use few other apps.

Samsung Ative SE or Lumia 1520. Both have a lot of power and offer micro sd card expansion. Which is crucial because WP8.1 allows app2sd and a host of other functionality for microsd cards. Personally if I had bigger pockets I would get the 1520, but SE is a nice phone in a more compact size (for a 5 inch screen anyways) than the 1520.
