I never downloaded a paid app in BlackBerry World because I don't have a credit card or PayPal account.
Is it possible for me to ask a friend to charge my account with his credit card or PayPal for about $20 and later I start downloading paid apps? Or you have to pay as you buy?

As far as I know, it's still a pay as you go for the apps. BB World does, however, offer billing directly through most carriers. Have you looked into that?

Your friend can gift you apps and pay with his cc. But can't gift you a credit amount.
And as mentioned you can see if carrier billing is available.

Drizzt09, what do you mean by gift? Do you mean that he can purchase an app and send it to my BlackBerry id as a gift?

My friend does not have a BlackBerry device, but of course he can create a BlackBerry id for himself on the Web.

He is not living close to me to be able to make the purchase using my device.

Why not try a debit card? It's like a credit card but you need to deposit (load) an amount to it before you can use it. Just like how would an ATM card works. It needs to have a balance first.

Banks have 100% approval on debit cards unlike credit card. Well at least here on my country.

Well, I live in Iran which is not connected to the world! We don't have credit cards and the debit cards of our banks are not global and are only valid in my country.

Can I ask my friend in Germany to buy me a prepaid visa card and give me the information of that card so that I can purchase on BlackBerry World?

Yes if you can send money to someone they can buy you a prepaid visa/mc then send you details. Add it to your PayPal account or directly into bbw.

Since your friend does not have a BlackBerry he probably can't gift you through bbw as iM sure a pin needs to be associated.

If he had a BlackBerry. He would have a bbid and bbw. Then yes he can purchase app and gift it to you.

Drizzt09 thanks a lot for your detailed answers on my post. According to these information my easiest solution is to ask my friend buy a prepaid credit card and gives me the details of the card. I can pay him later when I see him.

I use kerio vpn on my laptop. Then I share laptop's internet using virtual router manager. This virtual router shares un-filtered internet. Then I connect my phone's wifi to that virtual router. You need to turn off your simcard services too.
