This issue continues. The phone keeps downloading the same email messages literally hundreds of times. For example, one email - 266 and counting times! Rogers has indicated it's a BlackBerry software issue. Shutting off, deleting the account is not working. It works briefly, then the issue resumes. Honestly wtf! On the phone with BlackBerry now!

Great. BlackBerry will only help if we pay $49.00 technical support.
It looks like buy out the phone and move back to iPhone.

Sad to hear that, let cb professionals know about this issue and see if they can resolve it. I hope it gets solved easily and quickly.

I posted yesterday and got two suggestions (both implemented - neither worked- but thanks for those who helped!). Rogers will also help for a charge!

It gets better. The phone that was faulty was returned and a new phone provided as it was under warranty- but in discussing the problem , it turns out the new phone was in fact refurbished! They said new, it was refurbished. Lies?

Last time when Bell forwarded me to BlackBerry to get help, they said they might charge me. I was told that to mention that I was sent from Bell and they shouldn't charge me.

The lady from BlackBerry laughed and said to not worry when I asked if I was going to be charged for the call.

Yes BlackBerry said if you are referred from your provider you will not be charged - we told rogers that and they replied "yes we don't do that anymore." a full security wipe was done and they are reloading the software. We will see. Concern is the restore might reintroduce the issue.

It's a run of the mill Telus account. Not Gmail or anything. Basic email. Currently doing a restore after security wipe. Rogers helped after we said we would buy out our phones and go to a service provider that supported their products.

Can you possibly delete the email(s) on the server and see if that stops the repeats? Could be that someone's outgoing mail is creating the issue but the web client is screening them out whereas BB is delivering them all?

I'm not sure what this would entail or how to do this. The security wipe and restore did not work. it occurs with many emails from many people.

No there are no duplicates on the computer (i.e. outlook) or the isps Web email. Only on the z10.

No. Each new email continues to download over and over. That only stops existing emails- new emails will continue to replicate. It's burning through the battery so had to shut off the email function until it's resolved.

You might want to check to see that your Email server setting and phone setting match. Like make sure they are both set as POP3, or both are set as MAP Email protocols. It's just a guess on my part, but this might be the culprit.
They are resetting the email settings. I map didn't work do they are using pop settings.

So this is not only an issue with BlackBerry.

Me thinks it's an issue with the email server.

    @New_Z10
Have you tried using a different email address? If it has no issues, try using that email on a different phone.

Sounds like an email server issue.
