I regularly go from my z30 to my z10 and vice versa as my daily driver. I have never had issues switching BBM until recently and am unable to use it on my z10. I have never used link to switch BBM just the built in switch device function built into BBM itself. That function is now blacked out. Any advice? Tx

Same as when I did it previously. Both devices on and either over LTE or wifi.

Try reset both devices , might clear out a bunch of suff that's stopping it from happening.

Ya that's why I just set up a second BBID and have one on each device.

This is happening to me right now too, between my Q10 and Z30.

When I do the device switch between my Z30 and Z10, it works fine. It switches back and forth no problem. But then when I try and use my Q10, it has my bbm list but old statuses, and when I bbm someone, it's just a red x.

I'd love to know how to get this working again, because it used to work perfectly fine between all devices.

I wiped my Q10 and when I signed into my BBID and clicked on BBM, it switched fine.


Definitely annoying, but it's never happened before, and I didn't have anything other than a few apps and my contacts which are on my sim.

I have two BBIDS, one for my business, and a private one for fun and games, which connected to a Z10 powering a wifi hotspot, usually stays at home with my wife, and we BBM between the two phones.

Just means I have to purchase some apps twice, but my Q10 stays cleaner of games, which is not good for productivity....

Went for the two BBIDs right from the start, or after I lost my first one's password AND the email address at the same time when Lavabit went offline because of NSA. That way I can swap and change, even if I get a third BB10 phone. Flexibility ftw!
