They are selling here it seems anyway.

Some good news for the weekend. Cheers.

I work retail in the tricities just outside Vancouver and I see usually a dozen or so bb10 phones a month, working 1 day a week. So seems to be a decent amount of users out this way. Lots of androids and almost all the Iphones I see are older models with cracked screens lol people apparently don't care as much to look after their iphones

I work in Banff, and I see quit a few tourist using BB10 phones, probably a dozen or so a day. It doesn't compare to the sea of cracked screen iPhones though.

Although this anectodal post is positive ... we need to pay specific attention to WHICH models are getting the popularity you/others/myself see.

If BBOS then BB is loosing serious amounts of money and within 3yrs if trend continues - they'll officially be out of the handset business!
If BB10 THEN we can see the interest is still there in BB10 devices. You, myself/others should begin to strike up conversations with those on BB10.

Find out if they've just been stuck with one at work; if so what do they loathe about it?
    - apps; introduce HTML5/Flash (how to enable the latter) and just how superior it is to browsing!
(show them the HTML5 test website, tell them to bookmark it and test Safari/FireFox/Chrome on their home laptop and see how IT compares!

    Games: there's plenty!

Email, Social (Twitter/FB/etc) show them Blaq, show them the Toast notifications!

Ask them if they speak more than one language?!
    - SHOW THEM how to enable it and then ask them to type a sentence (not so common) and mix and match words/phrases within say a short paragraph!! The POWER is there and then watch their eyes light up!

TIP: Then show them how to do ALL of this 1 handed!!

That is great to hear. The more I show the Z30, the more people are impressed. They are also still carrying it in the Bell stores.

Well, they did come down in prices significantly. Had the Blackberry initially started out with $299 for Z10 and $399 for Q10 I am sure we would have had completely different scenario than what history has shown.

I have to admit, the Z30 is a rare one to see in the wild, but it's out there. I have seen about 3 other than my own so far. A lot of people are actually quite astounded that it's a BlackBerry. I am seeing a lot of Z10s and Q10s these days, mind you, and this is in up-town Toronto. Yeah there are infinitely more Android/iPhone devices in the vicinity but I have seen more and more BlackBerry 10 phones too.

As far as reaching out to users of BlackBerry 10 devices, the only device I hear complaints about really is the Q10. But every time I hear someone complaining about their Q10 in store, I somehow manage to not only alleviate their complaint by showing a fix, but I also tend to teach them at least one thing new that they didn't know their device could do. The biggest one in my particular line of work would be the USB mounting of the phone to the computer. Many are used to the phone mounting and going through BlackBerry Link, but setting it to USB mass storage mode gets them direct access to the memory card in the decide without having to go through Link or even needing Link installed.

At work ( germany) we finally started rolling out bb10 and stopped BBOS, people can also order iPhone, and I am effing proud to say that as the first non-IT test user I'm our company, I managed to convince a lot of colleagues to switch to bb10.
Last meeting I was in, there was 10 people, 8 of which had company mobiles, and 6 of those were bb10 ( all z10 and one q5)
I thought to myself, this is a special moment!
