between my work's outlook, gmail, facebook and twitter i got a million contacts and lots of duplicates, so i decided to pull it all into gmail and use their contact management system to sort it all out - delete the unnecessary ones, merge the duplicates, etc.

i have done this, but for some reason my phone is not updating this way.
i have removed and re-added the gmail account several times, but the old contacts are still there.

is there something that is holding on to this data?
any way i can wipe it all out and start fresh?

Contactx or max contact manager in BBW are great they merge and it all backs up to your sd card that way you dont have to rely on the email ones which seem to be a big pain,

This is one of my biggest complaints about BB10. Why can't they fix the buggy *** contact management?

For a device known for its business roots it is totally unacceptable.

Yes I agree, but it will come. The apps above work great for me. And if u change device there on your SD card so it's easy.
