As I went to the world premiere BlackBerry Experience tour in Paris (France), I had the chance to discuss with a bunch of our French Elite and P.R correspondants for some free talk and ideas sharing.

Besides most informations confirming what you and I will eventually know, there's one piece of information that is quite new here.
The - to come - Z3 BB10 device will have a different name for its LTE variant due later this year, especially for Europe.
This has been set to avoid the confusion that have created the various capabilities of the Z10 under a single name.

So, there won't be a Z3LTE, but a similar device with another name.
Now, just play and guess the name ... Z4 ? Z5 ? A code name ? I swear, I have no clue nor idea, so make your bets !

Really think there is no need for a Z3 in western markets. Leave the Z10 in the lineup as the entry level device and the $200 price point, and provide a replacement for it with the same size screen and upgraded specs, maybe a Z15...

Shockingly, I just remembered a dream I had last night about a new BB device called a "Z35"....

We know for certain the Q20 will come to market as the "Classic". Perhaps BlackBerry models go back to names instead of numbers for the whole line then. Whatever they do, please don't call it the Storm.

The Telus Z10 is now $200 off contract. I agree with the above, there is hardly a need, unless the Z10 is removed from market.

Arguably, it does give options (4.2" V 5") and design.

I'm curious to see how it will all play out when it's brought over to North America

Z3 then Z3S, it al makes sense to me: S 4 speed, or S 4 super fast, or S 4 sport.

Yeah right now with the z10 more affordable than ever, the only need for a Z3 LTE in the US would be on Virgin Mobile USA where they have very cheap plans and decent coverage.

Only release the device in Western markets if it is 150. 200 isn't enough to sway customers to BlackBerry from competitors. Nokia and Android already have 130 dollar phones.

Specs wise, 150 is a good price.

Or for the Western Market they can just offer it unlocked and ready to buy from shop BlackBerry. This way they dont have to deal with carriers and if the device sells well they can consider stocking it in stores. Seems like a good idea to me!

Yeah you will just have to wait 3 weeks for Digital River to process and ship the order. Shop BlackBerry is a horrible buying experience.

If you have a Vendor account, head to the Vendor Portal - https://appworld.blackberry.com/isvp...3VendorLogo.do

Scroll down, you'll see the statement that DR has ceased to be Acting MoR. Not 100% sure if this is applicable for ShopBlackBerry - But last time I checked they were the MoR for that too.

There's no official statement from the Media confirming this, but it's directly from BlackBerry Vendor Portal. That is very official. The only real confirmation we need is that ShopBlackBerry.com Is no longer using them either.

i do disagree, Z3 could actually have better build quality then the Z10 and 5" entry level device could sell.

Although they should make the LTE model have 2gb of ram, USB2Go, miracast, radio and etc. If they sell that for 250$-300$ (on no contract, 0$ with contract) from launch, I can see them selling a lot. Look at how many Curves are floating around, that's because they were cheap.

I had the Z10 and hated it, I felt like a blackberry beta tester. It had terrible battery life. I got the Q10 right when it came out and now I have the Z30. The quality of those 2 phone are definitely one of the best smartphone builds.
Z10 needs to be phased out and/or updated.

The Q5 needs to start getting made by foxconn and relaunched for under $200. Scrap the retro look, look at how nice the 8900 or a bold 9900 was. Just recreate those with a bigger screen.
