    -Why?
    -To which phone?
-Do you prefer it over your Legacy device?
    ..just curious.
As majority of people inhere are on BB10, and bash Legacy devices all the time.

If you are still on a legacy device, you are most welcome to join in.

You will get a variety of answers that has already been discussed. But a lot of people have switched from Legacy and I think the majority like BB10.
Having said that, I also don't think a lot of Legacy bashing goes on here. It ran it's course for most people, and they much prefer BB10 or other platforms.
There are some die hard Legacy fans, and that's ok too.

I had a storm 2 9550. I like touch screen phones. I upgraded to the Z10 after waiting for what seemed like forever. I liked the difference in screen size, however it felt too skinny. Then 8 months later I switched to the Z30. It is the perfect size for me. I switched my mom's curve to the Z10.

I upgraded from a Bold 9930 to a Q10. I was following the BB10 release since it was mentioned and was always going to upgrade. I've always wanted a full QWERTY BlackBerry with 4G speeds and the ability for greatness.
After going to BB10 I never looked back and loving everyday with my Q.

9850 to Z30. Why? Because my 9850 was getting old, I was getting tired of a leggy kb and general lag. I like BB10 almost 100% better than BBOS. If there weren't BB10 I would've changed to a different platform.

Had 2 9800 torches, both my wife and I switched at launch, I am quite happy with the Z10, wouldn't go back to small screen of a legacy device.

I switched from a torch 9810 to a z10 and missed my legacy device so I went and got a bold 9900. I fell in love with the keyboard again so I went and got a q10!!!

Went from torch 9800 slider to z10 and aside from missing the option of keyboard and touch screen the z10 is far superior.

Way more multimedia options, speed difference is amazing, os is much smoother. Graphics performance is way better.

At the end of the day, ignorance is not bliss in this situation. People wasting their time on bbos7, and yes my wife still has her torch, waiting for a better plan from telus to upgrade to z30, do not realize what they are missing!!!!!!

    Bb10 is an amazing os!

9930 to Q10. I missed BIS at first because yahoo doesn't support push, but got over it. I love the browser on the Q10, it's crazy fast. I love beating iphones to websites.

    9320 to Q10
BBOS did what I needed it to do.
OS10 is different, but it works well for me.
I guess I was lucky to have gotten the Q10 with 10.2.1 on it and never saw the earlier versions which were supposedly not as good.

I did. from a 9800/9780. Only missed the form factor of the Torch 9800.

The rest? Somehow my device has that BlackBerry mojo. That magic when you only have GPRS and the miracles of data on email and etc, that people keep saying "BB10 does not have it!".

I had a Curve 9360 and a Torch 9810 - picked up my Z10 on release day here in Canada. LOVE it. After a few months of paranoia, I finally realized I would never go back, so I sold the Torch. I still use the 9360 for work, and it's terrible. Great for phone calls and texting, but that's about it. Waiting on an upgrade to a Q10 (though debating waiting for the Q20. . . just don't know when it'll be out!).

9900 to Z10 to Z30. I never really cared for the 9900. I got terrible battery life on mine and exchanged it twice and tried multiple batteries but it always just sucked at battery life. I would have kept the Z10 if the battery life was better as I prefer the build quality of it over the Z30 but the Z30's battery life is what keeps me using it.

From a 9900 to a Q10. Took a bit of getting used to BB10, but there is no comparison. BB10 totally outclasses OS7 in every way, shape, and form.

9900 to a Q10 as soon as it was available. I loved my 9900 but I was excited for a new and modern platform. I still miss the track from my 9900 because it can't be beat in comparison to editing text via the touch screen alone. Other than that, the Q10 is a step up in every other respect. I mostly use my phone for messaging with some browsing and social networking. I couldn't care less for apps...had snap side loaded but never used any of the android apps anyway.

Wanted better camera, better media support, better browser.

Imho it is better than 9780. only battery is better in legacy device.

Nearly a decade of legacy devices. From yellow screens to track wheels to the storm. My last legacy device was a 9850. Jumped to a Z10 as soon as my office allowed testing. There were a ton of things I missed at first. Mostly running/ training applications, alarm and notification features. But by the time 10.2 came I was pretty much satisfied. Once 10.2.1 leaked, I have not looked back. BB10 like all OSes has some holes, but overall for the first time since I was handed an 8700G I am really happy with my BB.

My latest legacy device was the 9900. My first BlackBerry 10 device was actually the BlackBerry Colt, a pre production device which is known as the BlackBerry Dev Alpha.

Fast forward to 2013, I had gotten the LE Z10 in March, that's when I stopped using the 9900. The 9900 is still a nice device to have and a very nice secondary/backup/throwaway phone, but it was limited. Application selection was quite limited and with Android app support on the Z10 that closed my personal app gap.

However the 9900 has a great keyboard. I still enjoy that keyboard style today and it's successor on the Q10. Pretty much when all is said and done, BlackBerry 10 as an operating system had much more flexibility and capabilities than BlackBerry 7. The hardware on BlackBerry 10 devices enabled this software to do the job. Long story short, BlackBerry 10 was the natural progression of BlackBerry software releases, it provides a more up to date and modern interface which brings it back closer to its competitors.
