I cannot change wall paper through settings > display > wall paper. I am in 10.2.1.2228

    What happens when you try?

Regardless the workaround would be to find the wallpaper you want via Pictures or File Manager. From the gallery, long press it, or if you open that pic, open overflow menu (3 dots). Select Set As, then Wallpaper.
    FF22 likes this.

Nothing happens through the normal route as explained above. The work around you suggested is only for one's own pictures and does not allow access to the phone's customed/default wall papers.

something related to this query. When I bought my Z10 it had the 10 OS. I had a picture saved in the media card. So I set it as the wallpaper and the entire picture was set (I did not have to select a section).

    Then,
I updated to 10.2 and NOW when I try to change the wallpaper I am unable to select the complete picture but only the portion that the crop option provides. Hence have not changed the wallpaper.
tried both from settings and file manger.

    Any workaround guys?

I would guess that cropping would depend on the size/resolution of the original photo.

Agreed F2. However I'm talking about pictures taken from my digital camera. In OS10 I was able to just set the picture as the wallpaper but 10.2 is only giving the crop option to fit the z10 resolution I guess....

Hmmm, just tried it. Even with lower resolution image (about 640x480) the cropping option still appears. Tried from the Pictures app. They also don't allow to just use the whole picture and simply pad with black bars. I don't like it
