By this I don't mean physical buttons, I mean the touch screen buttons. The screen used to go into a separate mode where it wouldn't press numbers/hang up when up against my ear, but now it does. Any idea on how I can sort this out? During a few important phone calls I've hung up and it's becoming very annoying!

I think the proximity sensor is not working properly on some of the leaks. Which version of the OS are you on?

It was a huge issue sometime last year, when there was a communication failure between Berries and BlackBerry servers. What helped was a simple restart. Hopefully it is also the case for you and a plain restart will solve the issue, rather than any other software/hardware problems!
