HTC one with bb10 on it will be the phone of all phones for years. I would definitely buy it but feel android is stuck in the stone age. Thanks BlackBerry for ruining all other phones for me. I am sure if the masses tried bb10 they won't go back to their former OS

This raises a question from me. If BlackBerry were to sell their OS to hardware manufacturer, will they do it? What's stopping/blocking them to do so?

    Please excuse my ignorance.

Android is by no way stuck in the stone age. That is a ridiculous comment. IOS maybe but not android.

I agree, I am a BlackBerry lover using a z10 but android is way ahead of the game.

I would opt for the Q10's form factor with a custom Android OS on it.

That would be swell in my opinion.

Guess this person doesn't know this is a BlackBerry website.

Is there demand by other companies to license BB10?

On paper, I don't think there's much. I think licensees would have the same issue that BBRY is having.

For one, hardware companies use Android for its ecosystem/Gapps. It's ready made, and had the things consumers love. There's a reason Tizen is on the backburner. BB10, as is, does not offer them this advantage. WP8 has a decent ecosystem (even beyond apps), MSFT marketing dollars, and MSFT is showing a willingness to offer for free.

Also, if BB10 were to license BB10, I think they'd have to strip the runtime from it before the Android OEMs would even touch it. That's a stumbling block.

yea, i'm not sure that I would notice a huge diff between those specs - z30 vs htc1 m8. I mean, yea, its faster.. but where does the Z30 lag? if you're putting bb10 on htc1, i doubt you'll notice a difference, specs wise.

It's not stuck in the stone age. Just because it's a BlackBerry website doesn't mean we need to be ignorant of other platforms.

I do know what website I am on. I own both a blackberry and a android phone and like both for different reasons but to say android is stuck in the storage is crazy. I am not downing blackberry or android I am just stating a fact.

My sons both have HTC One M8's now...and they are great phones. I'm a life long BB user...but Sprint won't carry the Z30. Love my Q10! I hate to finally say it...but I think it maybe time to move on to HTC. I am very pleased with Sprint...but they and BB don't seem to get along...
