While on home page type click on the magnifying glass. Type in "security wipe". You should able to handle it from there.

Edit : doesn't have to be on the home screen, you could be anywhere. It's at the bottom of the screen. It's always there.

I guess most of us just assumed it wasn't a stolen phone.

mackpr, if you indeed just "found" this phone, I say ditto to what Al moon said.

Is this for real? Did someone just ask what to do with a phone they "found" that has someone's personal info on it? How about do what you would want someone to do if they found your phone after you lost it.

Edit: And just to clarify....give it back and not try to wipe it and sell it.

I would say that the best thing to do is contact the original owner. It's the decent thing to do. He may have some pictures or videos of cherished moments on it.

As for the people telling you to wipe it, that's just wrong and I hope one day you lose your phone and instead of somebody doing the right thing...they wipe it and keep it for themselves.

Honestly I read the OP not thinking "found" as in "found on the street", but rather found (i.e. purchased or traded) secondhand... probably cause it wouldn't occur to me to be so low as to sell a phone that some poor soul has lost. I'm assuming those giving instructions to wipe made the same assumption; I can't possibly believe those posters were endorsing making a buck off a "found on the street" phone.

Maybe the same guy that sold me a curve back in the day from Montreal with a stolen phone on eBay as a clear imei.

The company it was stolen from sure liked I purchased it from him on his personal eBay account.

Funny a month later his seller account vanished.

Turn it into the cop shop if you have any shred of dignity in you. Something tells me you deal with a lot of found goods...
