Flip and sliders are a thing of the past IMHO. Would be OK to never see or own one again, although the Motorola razr was a great phone back in the day

I know its a matter of personal preference you dont have the screen realestate but as a phone this form factor works for me and can still have enough screen to play on during idle times

I think it would cost BlackBerry more than they would make to develop a flip phone not enough people would buy it to justify the cost

I had both the Pearl Flip and the Style. I gotta admit, I LOVED the Style! But I don't see BB10 coming out in a flip format. Would be kinda hard to use one handed and at an angle kinda when opened wouldn't it?

I like Flip Phones and Sliders a lot! But I think that Flip Phones are hard to combine with the touch interface in a good way.

no very easy to use with one hand back of hinge rests on index finger keeps phone from falling out of hand typed this with one hand. most all tasks are done one handed with a upgrade on os this would be the perfect phone IMO

YES! Give me a clamshell BB like the Pearl Flip. But with a real keyboard or a dual touchscreen. I've always like flip phones.

I understand the harsh criticism because flip phones are a bit antiquated. But I think a new updated/modernized flip "style" smartphone could be appealing.

Moving parts equals hardware problems and complexity into manufacturing chain... doubt it would be wise if they are trying to "lean" out

I personally would want one, but I think we're in a small minority. I can't imagine there is enough of us out there to be worth the development cost to BB.

i know of quite a few people still using their bb style like me their not heavy web users and the flip phone form is still useful but if you need to find something on the web it still will get the job done but a faster phone would be still nice

I still have my pearl flip. If it wasn't slow as all hell and 2G I'd use it as a call phone n text. Live the flip. I miss hanging up on ppl that we. Just not the same tapping the end call button. Anyone else?

BBRY needs to focus on s/w and devices that sell. A flip phone would make the z10 look like a huge success. Would not be a good use of resources and money as the market is simply too small.

I disagree the style came out with a crappy browser and when android was booming no one has yet to come out with a clamshell that is up to date. the form factor is good the hardware is obsolete. the market is changing the latest and greatest is wearing off on a lot of us yuppies. give us a functional PHONE that we can take to a carrier off contract use the wifi when available to avoid the rip off cellular contracts.

Flip phones died in the late 2000s. To bring it back would be another way to poke fun of BlackBerry...as if they're not "old" enough already. It wouldn't be smart to bring a phone back for such a small percentage of users.
