Okay, so this is a thread started partly in jest as I'm also the author of the 'John Chen, please ditch the Hub!' thread. It seems that most of the respondents there miss my repentance part way through the thread so I'm posting here to make it clearer

I'm pleased to have started a thread which has inadvertently bought the CB community out in force to defend a clearly much loved feature. As a relatively new BB10 user (longstanding BBOS user) I've learnt a lot from the responses (although possibly not from the 'get lost and buy an iPhone' input )

So, please John Chen, keep the hub after all - it seems that all of CrackBerry nation love it, and even I as chief (and only) hub-basher now better understand its usefulness.

(Do consider reintroducing individual email account icons though )

The HUB is a great place and love it and I also like the stanby mode where you can see what kind of message you have.

Another wasted thread. Don't worry, John Chen has no intention in ditching the hub. LoL

He won't ditch the Hub. Not gonna happen. The "Hub" has always been the Blackberry way; it's merely being marketed as some new way on BB10. I'm on BBOS. All my accounts have always been consolidated in the unified "Messages" inbox/outbox which itself is tied to my right convenience key, hence my "hub." Hub/Messages always existed, even if many people weren't aware of it and viewed all their accounts as icons on the home screen.

The hubs good but, why do dumb "join my network" linkedIn updates and "Minion Rush Update available" bbw notifications stay there for ever until I delete them but emails get auto deleted after a month by default

    P.s.

What does this mean, what does SavedIMS mean?

Without the hub here is practically no reason to choose a blackberry phone over the leading Android device. It's the primary and nearly sole selling feature of BB10

If there is no BlackBerry Hub, I am switching to android. The BlackBerry Hub is an integral part of the bb10 experience.

This is the problem with BlackBerry users who don't want things to change. Still calling BlackBerry OS7 better than 10. If I recall my torch 9850 needed to be rebooted twice a day and it was so Damn annoying. Adding a stupid track pad to a device that the OS clearly doesn't need it is to satisfy these users. I'm not sure what is going on but it doesn't bold well.

I'm having a laugh right now. I'm glad you survived the horrid thread you started before. Or should I say I'm glad you survived the thread you started before that got very horrid very fast.

In your defence, there were some that agreed with you. So you were not alone in that stance.

Looks like your request to get back individual mail account icons had some juice. Those BBOS sales killing the OS10 might lead someone to believe that you were on to something.
