Hey guys, a recent poll about users choosing productivity over gaming on crackberry got me thinking...what if blackberry goes out of business (God forbid).. what "productive device" would you use as your daily driver and "why?

I would pick android and use the nexus 5. Simply because I love the pure android experience and it's a cheap phone with impressive specs and I love the Gmail app and Google maps. I love SwiftKey keyboard too.

    What about you?

Nokia 301 going back to keyboard. Must not think after 5 years of android and ios to go back ,because Blackberry OS 10.2.1 is great and much quicker and better that my old android OS.

There's only one strategy to survive: buy 2 spare Z30s, two Z10 and 2 Q10s and hope that's enough for the rest of your life!

Seriously, IF BlackBerry goes down, starts selling patents and scales down everything and fires everyone, my Z10 fails, my Q10 fails, any and all BB10 handsets I had bought also fails, AND there is no BB phones left on this planet is the only time I will consider another device. HAHA. Ok, by then it will probably be a Nexus 11 or 12. Running Android 8.4.2 Skittles most likely. LOL. I like the plain vanilla android too. Or maybe even Ubuntu phone. I don't know how that will do but if it is anything like the OS then it should be pretty good after a few years of development.

Definitely back to WP, and since I'm a Sprint customer, that means the Samsung ATIV S Neo. I'm actually thinking about getting one anyway since I can't get an official update for my Q10.

BlackBerry 10 devices are simply great phones - there is no dependency on BlackBerry Corp any longer. They'll run for years and years like all BlackBerry's do. Even if the mother Corp were to be purchased and then sold off for scrap your phones will still work exactly as expected.

Obama uses a BlackBerry since it's the only secure phone.

Until someone else comes up with a secure phone that the US President will use and the NSA approves of, BlackBerry isn't going anywhere.

They simply stopped marketing the phones to kids and folks who want to play apps.

    Well.....

There is still some tie-in to the mother-ship which became evident when due to a server issue, a lot of folks lost the phones' sensors. So, unless that tie can be easily severed, there is still some dependency or dependencies.

If BlackBerry was to die I'm sure they would push an update that would break dependence on BlackBerry servers.
