Would any of you guys know where I could buy a brand new Playbook here in the Philippines? Tried going to the local website and it doesn't state where I could get one (i.e. web page error).

If you guys have any idea, please let me know. Been really wanting to try the bridge feature with my Z10 and a PB. Thanks!

I don't think there's a Brand New PB being sold here. But you can check TipidCP or TipidPC for second hand.

Perhaps if you search the nooks and cranny of Greenhills. There's got to be some store in there who has the last piece inventory. I got mine there on the cheap.

I got the tablet since 2012 bought it at Rob Manila brand new. Though I seriously doubt there's any there anymore.

wow seriously? is it better than apple's ipad? I mean I like the blackberry smartphones but in terms of playbook and ipad are there any advantages over ipad?

I wouldn't recommend the PlayBook if you're an apps person. It's practically good for Multimedia, Browsing and PIM and Multitasking (you can easily switch between apps compared to iPad ). It offers some degree of "root" file accesses (e.g. being able to Browse files, send files and attachments) it also becomes to some degree an extension of your BB phone via Bridge. It does run Android apps but not as extensive as the BB10 phones (due to it being stuck with the Android 2.3 Runtime as opposed to the 4.2.2 Runtime in Zx/Qx ). Also, updates on the tablet has become scarce as BB shifted its focus to the phones.

Who knows, maybe they'll update PB's to BB10... but not in the near future.

Yep I'm quite aware of the Playbook's limitations. And I just really wanna try it for the bridge feature and the novelty that it's the playbook os though not everyone will get me on that. Haha

Once I get my hands on the PB LTE I am buying I will post pics . Technically PB LTE won' work in PH as they don't use our LTE frequencies. But I have a Smart Bro SIM that's capable only of H+ anyways. They also sport faster processor (1.5Ghz vs 1Ghz) and comes only in 32GB... it's also extremely rare because it's only built in NA region. I already have quite a catalog of PB apps so I don't mind.

This will be the first time I will pair PB with BB10 (My BB Z30). I used to have PB 16GB + Curve 9360.

EDIT : It's second hand. Judging from the pics I got from seller, it's not really that abused. (He also has an Android and an iPad Tablet so I doubt if this was abused at all... hopefully)
