I pretty much came into it knowing there weren't any apps. And for the most part I have missed my apps from my Windows Phone 8. (Lumia 1520) but I have been able to enjoy the Z10. Its an ok phone with an incredible OS but has missing potential due to the lack of apps. Also 2 days ago I got sick of at&t not sending out the update.....and I only had this for a month....so I can only imagine how mad you guys are who waited for over a year and still nothing. I upgraded it myself because I really missed having my music from my Lumia 1520. Although I will be going back to my Lumia after a day from now, I sure feel that BlackBerry is interesting but it's not enough to make someone buy one. They need certainty that they will have the apps they need. Anyways here was my home screen.

60+% of the Android app store is not enough apps? Not like Windows app store is stuffed to the gills anyway. Whatever. When you realize BB10 is better, come on back.

I'm glad you were open-minded enough to at least give it a try! Hopefully one day BlackBerry can evolve to become compelling again.

Thanks! I did give it my best shot. I just prefer my 6 inch 1080p screen with ClearBlack technology and PureMotion technology. My 20mp camera with Pure view technology. My polycarbonate unibody and gorilla glass 3. The Apps Are modern and intuitive. BlackBerry for me was... mediocre to me. nothing that I was like. "Whoa this is a clean look and feel." also my Lumia is much more faster thanks to the low power WP8 OS. Also the more powerful internals. It out performed the not yet released GS5's GPU. Anyways I love taking pictures and the Z10's camera didn't suffice. I'll take a picture of the same thing twice with both cameras and show you. (flash off)

It might be, but it's not like the Z30 would have fared much better with regards to what he values. Z30 has a "less than ideal" screen and I've seen various threads claiming the camera underperforms that of the Z10.

Sorry, which picture is from which camera.

To be honest the top one has better colour contrast but a but fuzzy

The bottom photo is sharper but is way too dark to make out details.

I think they both kinda suck

I certainly wouldn't chose either one

Silly farmwersteve, the bad picture on top is the Z10. The amazing one on the bottom is the Lumia. I mean this in the most polite way, you know nothing of photography. I seriously mean that in a non jerk face tone. I just didn't know how to put into a nicer way

    I highly doubt that somebody sees any difference between a 6" 1080 and a 5" 720 screen.

Plus 1520 and Z30 have both Amoled screens which Z10 doesn't.

Well Paul here's the thing....the 1520 does not have an amoled screen. it sports a IPS display. But it has PureMotion technology making it refresh at 60fps as apposed to the Z30's 30fps. Also the human eye from about 6 inches (average distance of a texting person) away can't see pixels on their phone as long as the phones pixel density is that of 326 (retina display) and above. And the Lumia 1520 has a pixel density of 368. The Z30 doesn't pass the drill and has 295 ppi.

Plenty of people around here seem to make a big deal about it so it must be noticeable, even if it's just "because they're aware of it" and are looking "harder".

In any case,.. BlackBerry needs a device with no compromises so we can say... "It's unfair to compare it to a Z10... you should have tried a Z[whatever]."

    My bad with ips-panel.

For the rest: you're talking claptrap. Neither the difference in resolution nor in frequency is recognised by human eyes. That's just advertising lyrics...

Remembering that opinions are just that: IMO, how does that clutter of colour seem better? Looks like Microsoft took guidance from 5 year old's, playing with their Lego... *shrugs*

I mean whatever you gotta tell yourself Paul. I'm not speaking opinion there I was telling you science fact. I'm not attacking your precious company and device. I'm am literally "just saying" like to inform you. But it's starting to look as if you don't care if you're in denial or not. But it's OK. You stick to your BB. You're loyal and BlackBerry needs more like you. Just don't make potential users like me who actually gave it a shot, pissed off. And settle with facts because after all what I told you in that last post is fact but you refuse to believe it with nothing backing your claims.

    Science facts?!

OK, what's refreshing rate of a movie? 24 fps! And now you will tell me that you are seeing a difference between 30 and 60 fps?

Also I don't stick to BB, in fact I'm really new to that brand. Switching from Lumia btw...

Well there is a clear difference between 30 fps and 60 fps. I'm kind of sad If you can't tell. Play a game like battlefield and the like Call of Duty. The difference in frame rate is night and day. And for you to watch a movie in its native 24fps you need to have a compatible TV so if you don't you get it in your tv's 30fps. Tv's can play random frame rates. They support what they support out of the box.

Bottom one definitely too dark. Can barely discern the border of the tv to the screen.
