I've ordered an Unlocked STA100-5 that I"m going to use on T-Mobile in the United States. Wondering what the best way of updating it to the latest OS Update as TMobile does not carry the Z30 at all. How do I install the latest updated software to it?

    Thank you!

    Hi and welcome to CrackBerry.
You can take a look at the Leaked OS thread and find the latest OS there. There are instructions for loading onto a Z30. Check here:http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...phones-905407/

You have a couple of options, either via auto loader or sachesi , I personally like the auto loader way I find it easier, though it does wipe your phone so you have to set up like a new device, where as sachesi is non destructive.

If you're using windows, make sure you have the current dotNET, JRE, etc installed

Next, download and install the latest BlackBerry Link, for the device drivers - you can close Link after installation is complete

Download an STA specific OS Autoloader, OS 10.2.1.2228 is the latest available, and save the file to your desktop

Connect your device to a USB2 port, using a BlackBerry USB cord...yes, it matters! I could go into a long and boring speech about cable shielding, blah blah blah...

Set your device to Airplane Mode - so no one calls you during installation

Double click the autoloader and go make a sam'mich

You should have a freshly installed OS and a Welcome screen, prompting you through the setup process.

    Enjoy!

Mecca you forgot an unzipping tool. 7zip or win zip is also required in order to extract the exe file.

Once you download the auto loader you have to unzip to make it an exe file.

May I ask the exact process from start to finish of how to do an autoloader for the z30 (STA100-5) Running on Tmobile here in the United States From Start To Finish? Basically What I'd like to do is upon receiving the STA100-5 in the next Few days I'd like to get the Latest OS loaded straight into it right out of the box..

I know of a few unlocked Z30 on T-MOBILE USA that already received the latest update so you'll be just fine once your sim in in and you so the update check.

Actually I shouldn't say latest but it is 10.2.1.xxxx. So no need to go poking around if you don't really want to.

So even though TMobile does not have the z30 it will still allow updates for the unlocked phone?

Why autoload when Sachesi option is there with all the official released worldwide. Not getting an update through T-MOBILE is weird though. Is this T-MOBILE USA we are talking about here?

Yes Mine will be Tmobile USA.. So my unlocked z30 that's coming in the mail should get the OTA update?
BTW if for some reason it doesn't what is the process of using Sachesi?
    Thank you in advance..

Hopefully it will but just in case it doesn't, there are some links on here with detailed instructions. I had the 1925 update on my z30 but the my Q10 had the later update from Rogers. I waited for almost two weeks and impatience got the better of me. I did the Sachesi update using Vodafone UK Z30 at the time and was amazed at how easy and smoothly it went. I didn't notice any difference in the OS but I desperately wanted my phones to be in sync on same OS.
When you get the phone I would first check for an update through wifi (no sim) and if that fails then check after sim is inserted. One girl in Atlanta knows nothing about tech and she managed to update hers to that was encouraging. I just told her to go to settings > software updates>check for updates and bingo! It was there alright.
