Hi all,
Z30 died while it was sitting in my friend's handbag.
Now red light is blinking. And I can't get it to start or hard reset with volume rockers or on/off switch.
Red light sequence seems to be 101111111. I looked at blackberry red light webpage on the internet but couldn't find anything.

Is OS autoloader the only way out here?

Just experienced the same last weekend (Z10). For me since the device would not initialize it meant not being able to use BB Link or Sachesi to do anything including reloading O/S. Bell store declared it DOA.
A service replacement loaned to me and a *new* unit received 9am on Tuesday (I have device insurance).

Charge your phone for a few minutes, regardless wether you feel it's charging or not

Then

Connect it to your laptop / desktop which has bblink installed let it be connected via usb remove battery re insert battery while being connected via usb

And then power on the phone, this should do the trick

Let me know if it doesn't help

Z30 doesn't have a removable battery.

Thanks for all your help.

I tried but did not succeed so now I installed OS 2141 and back up running.

I think there is something with BlackBerry where the charging can run crazy and then it won't let you charge anymore even battery is depleted and therefore also the OS cannot start up. I had similar thing with Z10 before. Maybe others have same experience..

If the battery is dead it's Beyond 0%. You must charge it for at least 20-30 minutes. It wil start automatically.

My z30 comes out of holster sometimes black screen - then shows the words blackberry, then flashes to black, then red light, then flashes to black. Swiping does nothing. I hit the power off button numerous times and it does not reboot. Then after fiddling about somehow the boot up blue screen comes on and it restarts. It is random from what I can see. Anyone else have this happen??

Thanks for any insight.

PS this is my second BB device and I want to keep it, but I have to be able to use it when I need it!

Go to this thread and download the correct loader for your device.

Then just unzip and double click on the exe file while your phone is in airplane mode. Make sure link is closed. Do a back up prior if needed. You will get a green LED while it's loading.

How did you get to insall the 2141 on the phone?

I'm having the same problem but my phone doesnt connect to the laptop, it is not being detected.

Probably shouldn't take any advice from someone who advises removing a non-removable battery.

Besides, removing batteries on BB10 is bad even on the other models.

It probably lost the supply of oxygen...

Anyway, as others mentioned, the most effective way is to connect your mobile to BlackBerry's Link (laptop or pc) but before that, try charging it using PlayBook's charger (since it has 1.8AMP)...
