Interesting to see 95% of the UK's atms are powered by XP.

Microsoft will be making a nice little chunk just off the extended upgrades for XP and then the official upgrades to Windows 7.

Originally the ATM's were running on IBM's OS/2 before they made the change to Win. I have not seen one running higher than XP yet.

I would love to see QNX involved more on ATMs. I am surprised that XP is the heart and sole, but I'm not surprised at the same time. BlackBerry step up here! Nice lil mint to be made!

BlackBerry really needs to monetize QNX better. Lots room for growth and opportunities to make some serious cash.

If you mean a few 100 million in profit is the same as 0, then yes, you are correct.

ATMs run on XP, currently 90 % of the. Banks still use them, Microsoft has as recent as two years ago informed financial institutions that they will no longer be supporting XP many banks were told to upgrade to Windows 7, currently they pay Microsoft a fee to extend support for XP. The banks have been saying that they rather not upgrade at present as they can better utilize those resources on other aspects of operations, go figure. I guess it's cheaper to pay for the extention.
