I updated my Z10 to 10.2.1 via BlackBerry Link, never installed any leaks or anything before, and it took nearly two hours, which seemed really excessive to me. My Z10 ended up freezing on reboot after the update and its running painfully slow now, at times almost unusable. Did something go wrong during the update process?

It's possible something went wrong. Likely though the phone is still indexing after this OS update, give it a bit to see if it settles in.

Is there any difference in download speed doing it through link or wifi?... i really don't feel like waiting 2 hrs. ideally I would like to leave it overnight if i do it through wifi but i'm afraid I will get an error and it won't finish and I'll have to start over when I wake up.

Did you deleted any apps since the update? Like any social media stuff or t-mobile apps?

Took me less than 30mins to download over wifi, install and reboot. No issues. Just required an extra restart to get wifi calling going.

Strange. Do a restart via the volume keys and check again. It may not have installed something or just not recognizing all the files updated

Did you already have a leak installed? From what I understand if you do then the update is a lot smaller since it only adds the t-mobile updates... some people have reported over 2 hrs as well.

Mine took about 2 hours for the OS update, then about an hour and a half for the second, Applications update.

Then......about 30 minutes for all my BBW Apps to update. *sigh

Now my battery refuses to hold a charge.

Not long. Maybe under a half hour. Just left it on WiFi and put it next to my router.

i did mine through link hoping to speed up the process and not have some type of wifi interruption and from start to finish it took me an hour and 37 min... the only thing i noticed that it had an affect on is opening the facebook app takes longer now.

Here's my update since updating Thursday afternoon: My Z10 has seemed to recover. It is no longer lagging, although it does hang for a few seconds occasionally, nothing too annoying. Battery life is hit or miss at this point, some days it does well some days not so much. Foursquare seems to take longer to launch now, and the Facebook app was not opening at all, I deleted the app and reinstalled it and it seems to be working normally now.

I do have to say, wifi calling seems to be much improved over the last OS. Also Android apps are working great, Snap has made it beyond simple.
