I recently purchased an unlocked BlackBerry Bold 9790 to use as an AT&T Go Phone. After setting up my account and putting the SIM card into it, it is able to send SMS messages and make phone calls, but is not able to send MMS messages. I've called AT&T for support, however they were unable to help. I also tried putting the SIM card into an unlocked BlackBerry Pearl 9100 and I was able to send and receive MMS messages, SMS messages and phone calls without an issue. After further browsing of the phone I found that I do not have the option to send a picture as a text message. It will only allow me to do it as an email or over Bluetooth. Any suggestions as to what I can do would be very helpful. Thank you.

Select Text Messages>Menu Key>Compose Text Message>Select your recipient
Write our your message (if none skip to next step)
    Menu Key>Select Attach>Choose Picture/Video clip/Audio file>Menu Key>Select Send.

Those are the steps, and it should work. Were you trying to send it from your library?

EDIT: I'm not sure what AT&T Go is. You do have a BIS plan though?

I tried to select 'Select Attachment' but it wasn't in the menu. I'm not sure what a BIS plan is exactly. I'm downloading the BlackBerry Desktop Software now to see if I need to update it.

In order for MMS to work, you would need a BlackBerry Data Plan. (BIS - BlackBerry Internet Service)

As it turns out, all that was needed was a software upgrade. Something so simple, yet I missed it.
