Your calendar should be part of the set up process when you add a gmail account on your device. It's standard fair. If you're not seeing it, try advanced set-up.

Gmail is showing for email, contacts and calender but calendar is not syncing. Does it take time or could something be setup wrong?

I have the same question and from the research I have done, it seems Google Calendar will only sync with Android and iOS phones/tablets.

    https://support.google.com/calendar/...yncmobile&rd=1

However, in the Google Calendar settings there is the option to configure the Calendar to remind you by SMS about your events.

I have done this with a few different devices. Once you download the google calendar app (even if you have a native calendar app already) everything will sync.

On my Samsung devices, I had to download the google app for my native Samsung calendar to work?

On my Q10, I downloaded the google calendar (Snap) and once I did this, I am able to use my native BY calendar.

Not so. My Google calendar syncs perfectly with my Z10 - both ways. Use the CalDav option.

I have never used the Google calendar app before, on my BlackBerry, ios or android devices. I always got the calendar to sync. Also, it is already setup through caldav. I am trying to sync previous events. Can anyone put me in the right direction

Same here. Advanced set up for Google calendar and no additional apps. Try not to make it harder than it is.

If it's really not syncing, which is the first I'd heard of, just set up the Google calendar as caldav

Thanks, it is setup as caldav. Do you know if previous events will sync? Very frustrating

When you sync'd your Google account, how far back did you let it sync?

All of my email and contacts did sync. But the caldav(calendar) part did not sync anything. I'm not sure if I saw an option to sync in the past.

And you are sure the calendar is actually syncing?
Have you tried an event to the calendar via device and the via pc or something?
    Is that part syncing?

Yes, I just added to the calendar on my BlackBerry right now. It synced to my pc and my galaxy. Previous events will not show. They are on my pc and galaxy but oddly enough will not show on my bb.

It does sync. I can add events and everything will sync perfectly. It just will not sync from the past. I am trying to add like the past year.

If the question is about syncing past calendar items. I believe that it will only maintain events in the calendar on your phone for 90 days.

Even that would be fine. Nothing from the past will sync.

When you set up the account, try advanced settings and try initial retrieval of forever, or 90 days.. not sure if it's just for mail though.
