I have a good offer to buy a PB 64 gb but I'm doubting of doing it.

    - Is the PB still up to date?
    - What with the OS, I have a Z10, will this work fluently with the PB?
    - should I wait for a new Tablet from BlackBerry or buy an android/apple?

    Greetz!

I'm not sure if they are still supported, if they are, BlackBerry might drop the support soon, that being said, it's a decent tablet and it sells for really low price, so I'd say it's worth it.

I've been rocking the 64 since day one. It is a bit dated, but I use it every day. I have a charge dock and it outputs to my bose radio for morning radio. I browse with it, read news, watch u tube, reply to emails, BBM, text and such. Play games every so often. The OS is probably not going to be updated, but I'm okay with that. So, what price would be the question.

As far as I am aware, they won't put BlackBerry 10 OS on it, I wouldn't expect much from it when it comes to updates.

You are new around here. Search for PlayBook BB10 and you'll see.

What you see is what you're going to get with the PB. I'd be shocked if we see any more updates.

Even for a 64 GB, I wouldn't pay too much. I'd probably lean Android for low end tablet at this point unless I was getting a really good price ($50ish in my opinion)

Black berry promised to support it but later said they wouldn't. The only way I'd buy it is if you got a really good deal on it. There has been no indication Blackberry has any plans to release a new tablet in the near future.

BlackBerry Bridge is still being supported AND updated. So you can use with your Z10 on the go There was an OS update not too long ago. Its a great device, limited but quality Apps. BlackBerry have never said anything about not supporting the PlayBook. Go for it!!

Other tablets with better everything? Mmmh...
    Better sound? Certainly not.
Better video? I don't care about the type, I just copy the videos on the PB and it reads them just like that.
Better screen? A bit, but not that much.
    Better autonomy? Not really...
Better browser? Depends... I have no problem with the one on my PB, and I use also Origami.
Better camera? Good enough for me, in fact, still really good

I still use my PBs everyday, and it's been a couple of years like that. Great investment

I got a 64g two days ago! I have had playbooks forever but its my first 64g and I jumped on it for the price. I have always said a 64g flashdrive is almost 70 dollars up or down so my Playbook does wonders internet, music, pictures , school, work, radio and some games but its worth it to get a 64g for anything around 80 or less absolutely or even 90! Bridged with my Q10 its an access to the web anywhere! and pretty fast using origami browser I can even use spotifys web player! like right now!

it's pretty obvious your stuck in your playbook bubble, and if your happy about that then that's just fine, but you have no idea what the other tablets offer nowadays which is pretty evident in your last post. now MOST have 1080P screens which the playbook does not have, all the other newer tablets blow the playbook out of the water... the ONLY 2 things the playbook have got for itself is 1) PRICE and 2) SPEAKERS... I have yet to find a tablet that has speakers to match the playbook...THATS IT! lol

1080p on a tablet? LOL you won't really notice 1080 until you are watching a big screen. Probably won't make a difference until you are above 40" or so

it's not just a question of price for me.
ask yourself why you need it.

For me playbook is still a good choice for internet acces, ebook reading, news reading, movie streaming, email.
But this is the worst for playing.

I have an android also, but I still use my playbook because I really like the form factor in my hand. The android one is to play with my childs. The playbook is always in my bag for travel, with a special mention to autonomy.

I discussing the merits of a PB you left out one of the most importsnt ones to me versus other tablets: its resistance to viruses. According to support they have never heard of one getting through.
