although i do not like Foxconn, i like to ask if anyone has suggestions if we see a DualSim Z3? i am a big fan of dual sim use, on holiday (foreign country data sim for mails), second number for business and so on. something was mentioned because people in asia use dual sim more then people in north america or europe. so it makes sense for the market the z3 is targeting. dual sim would be a buy for me.thanks for joining the exchange

Aside from the 1280x780 resolution, no specifications have been revealed to the public yet.

Dual sim is a must in a phone these days. I just racked up 500$canadian bill in 24 hrs because I wasn't near a smart or globe outlet to get a sim yet. Called rogers and they offered me 100mb roaming data for 100$
I hung up after a Wtf.

That's why my wife got a Moto G for her birthday two weeks ago. Would have waited for a BB dual sim.

Plan to put Ubuntu on it, once a ROM becomes available.

i am paying 10 per month for a 100 mb data plan. plus 10 telephone flatrate. after i used the data i continue on a lower data rate, without any extra cost. the speed is still good for checking emails and also searching the web. this is quite common in europe. we had 'canadian conditions' something like five years ago. i really wonder why canada is that expensive.

It's not really "Canada" my plan for Canada is standard..sonething like 100 dollars for 6 gb shared data and unlimited calling. But do t ever try to make it 24 hrs roaming. For me I flew to philippines and 24 hrs later my bill was 500. Something definitely loved using data and I did take a couple pics and post to FB, and made 3 calls once I landed.
Can't complain now though because rogers choked and reduced it to 200.

Z3 is built to target Indonesia market, dual-sim is a must. Some carrier in Indonesia is good in Voice and others are good in Data. A few of my contacts are using samsung dual-sim to save cost and enjoy better network quality. Basically using one sim of carrier A for voice and another Sim of carrier B for data. It makes a lot of sense.

The network is Indonesia is very slow. BB10 is good for faster network like 4G. If BlackBerry can bring back data compressing feature from os7 back to BB10, it will be great.

but is BB10 dual sim capable within a short time? as far as i know blackberry never builded a dual sim device before. foxconn knows how to produce this hardware for sure. we will see. i would appreciate to see even more dual sim devices in the future.

Thanks for the question. No, there are plenty more, in different states of completeness. Nexus devices have been selected as developer phones, because they are also developer phones for Android, and more open than others.

If Blackberry is smart, they'll make the North American version dual sim capable as well.

There are plenty of snowbirds who carry two phones. Give them the option of having a single device with Canadian and American sim cards.

There's still not confirmation on this? It NEEDS to be dual sim.

If the Z3 gets launched without dual sim card capability im gonna be depressed.

Where did you get this confirmation?

And dual sim would be nice. BB10 trumps android in my books. But if the os and the experience it provides is not that important then maybe moto g maybe for you, assuming no dual sim is confirmed.

Inside 10.2.1.2947 is the setup video; there's only one SIM slot on the Z3.

the disappointing answer: no dual sim z3 in a market where people use it a lot. not to mention india and so on. i am not sure why this happend. my believe is software. it also would be nice to have dual sim in more expensive mobile devices from blackberry. it would help. it is a appreciated and underestimated feature in my opinion.
