I'd like to do this regularly, perhaps use my Z for a couple of days and then my Q for a couple.

However, is it bad to do this? Because to remove the SIM from the Z I need to remove the battery first - is this damaging to the battery?

Anyone else do this?

I do it almost daily. I switch it between three phones. A Z30, Q10, and a Galaxy Note 3...I hope that it isn't bad for it.

Switching sim cards produce wear and tear on the pins that read the card. Especially on the Z10, they are fragile and can break off really easily - causing the the sim to not be read.

BB10 is not like BBOS where pulls were part of the culture. Battery pulls can wear down the battery and stress the phone. The connectors can wear down and the battery slot can loosen. Usually the first piece of hardware that fails is the battery cover, which gets loose the more it's detached and reattached.

I have Sims in all three of my phones..maybe I should just leave them alone and just forward calls to the phone that I am carrying that day

As long as you turn off the device, give it a minute, then pull the battery, you'll be fine. The removeable battery is intended to be pulled out, to swap in a fully charged one.

Agreed with this last comment...I mean after years, the battery can start to hold its charge less well. But turning the device off, then swapping a battery is not really bad for the device. The most important thing I was always told at carrier stores is make sure you charge to 100% whenever you can.

I do find it quite difficult to remove the SIM from my Q10, I agree. It's definitely...a delicate process. Is there a way to get a duplicate SIM?
