Hi there,

Today I dropped my phone My scratch free Z30 now got a nasty dent in the silver edge ( Right bottom corner )
Now my question is, there are a damn lot of spare parts for an iPhone but I can't find any for my Z30.

Does anyone got any idea were to find them ?
And is it a DIY job to replace it ?

Plz help I wanted to keep it in perfect shape but thats over for now..

Bottom of my silver part is dented and scratched too. Been looking for a replacement but haven't had any luck. I have covered it with the transform case for now.

I contacted a guy on ebay he would try to help me.. but than I have to repair it myself. Never done that before but I'll try it out on my broken Torch 9800 otherwise I'll bring it to a local repair shop but I don't believe that they ever took a z30 apart.. I think I'm the only Z30 owner in the city .. well, anyone who's got suggestions let me know

Here is my dent btw.. at the side which you can't see on the picture a small piece is gone. "Luckily only the silver part and not the screen"

Ouch! That's massive! Mine's much smaller. I would suggest getting a transform case. It will cover out that corner so at least you don't have to look at it everyday.

Still no luck searching the web.. no one that knows where buy such items? Already purchased a phone tool set and waiting for its arrival, than I'll take apart my 9800 and 9810 to switch displays so one of them will work again. But that's just a try out, if I succeed I might DIY my Z30 but without parts it can't be done of course. So anyone?

If thats like my z30, that silver pieces ties in to the main body. im not sure how you would fix that without switching everything.

I found out you need to replace the whole back of the phone, including the build in battery.. might be an option but expansive I guess..

Being a while but I just replaced the besal and thereby the battery of my Z30. It was a success If you ever want to repair your Z30 our mutual friend J.Caloy made a video which shows everything pretty good

I currently own a Blackberry Z30 and I dropped it as well. The bottom left corner of the phone is cracked. I don't know what to do exactly but I love this phone - got to love Blackberry. Search ebay for BlackBerry z30 screen and middle frame. That's where I bought mine and used a video off of YouTube by a c rack berry member to see how it was done. It's super easy. But learn from my mistake. Don't tighten down the motherboard too much.

Somehow doing that shorted out my microphone. It took me 3 hours to figure that out. Now my phone is basically brand new.

Oh, I almost forgot.

The frame I bought didn't have the front facing camera installed.

I had to carefully pry it out and put it in the new frame.

It's basically a tiny cube with a lens. Try to remember which way is up so you don't put it in sideways or upside-down. The little clip that holds the camera in place is quite fragile. You may only get one chance at it if you mess up.

Well as I just found out, there apparently is a difference. I had to cancel my order and now am searching for a replacement verizon z30 mid-frame.
